Walking Get those wellies on! There's a number of publications and walking packs - many are free of charge - which give details of some great routes around Nottinghamshire. Nottinghamshire Ramblers Association offers a year round programme of walks, access to hills, long distance paths and national parks. It's run by 16 groups accross the county. Nottinghamshire rural routes Produced in conjunction with Country Walking magazine, keen walkers can now take advantage of a range of self guided rural routes in the glorious countryside. They include Sherwood Forest, the Vale of Belvoir, and Teversal and Huthwaite - the highest point in Nottinghamshire - which commands spectacular views.
