The Royal Concert Hall recently hosted the Nottingham Classics, opening its doors to a host of top international orchestras and some of the most exciting names in classical music, from rising stars to world-renowned virtuosos. With a capacity of 10,000 the Trent FM Arena Nottingham attracts the biggest names in pop, rock and R&B – everyone from Elton John to Usher, Bob Dylan to 50 Cent, Coldplay and Noddy!

The Music Society promotes concerts of live chamber music by nationally and internationally known artists. Concerts are held on Tuesday evenings at the Congregational Hall.

And for music around the county you can enjoy the County Council's annual Music in Quiet Places programme, featuring an eclectic mix of national and international musicians at churches throughout Nottinghamshire.

For new music, head to more intimate venues like The Rescue Rooms and The Social which first showcased emerging talent like The Strokes and Starsailor.
