Things to do > Shopping
Retail addicts are spoilt for choice in Nottingham. We’re rated in the top five UK shopping cities. Above places like Manchester and Liverpool. We’ve always had a reputation as a top city for shopping, but over the past few years Nottingham has climbed up a notch in the retail stakes. Paul Smith went back to his roots and opened a flagship store in Willoughby House, Low Pavement. And Hugo Boss and Kurt Geiger then followed suit, both opening branches in Nottingham. We’re capital for fashion. In Bridlesmith Gate, you’ll find designer stores and retailers stocking the biggest names in haut couture. Alongside our impressive selection of designer outlets, we’ve got independents and small chains aplenty. You’ll have no trouble finding alternative clothes, unusual gifts and stylish designer furnishings in our city. For those rainy days, we don’t fall short on undercover shopping centres. Ranging from the more exclusive for the discerning shopper, to the large commercial centres for all the high street names. We’ve some of the biggest department stores, and plenty of convenient out of town retail parks and outlets. For home grown and hand crafted produce, take a trip to one of our quaint and bustling market towns. Or pick up a steal at one of our many antiques dealers, dotted throughout Nottinghamshire. You’ll find anything from fine art and Art Deco ceramics to antique telephones, toys and clocks.
