Getting to Nottinghamshire > Road

Nottinghamshire by road

One of the UK's major motorways, the M1 runs the length of Nottinghamshire. A convenient route from London, Watford, Manchester, Leeds and Leicester, the M1 also links to the M42 and M6 motorways to provide easy access to Birmingham, the West Midlands and Staffordshire.

The M5 and M50 enable those from Wales and the south west to be within a two-hour drive from Nottinghamshire, whilst the M14 offers access from the east and the M62 via the M6, from the north west.

Within the county, major roads such as the A60, A1, A46 and A52 allow eaily accessible routes around Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

parkandride.net is working with local councils to offer an alternative, striving to make our cities cleaner and more pleasant to visit. Visit the Nottingham Park and Ride site.
